You can do the line dancing are you can do your own dancing it doesn't matter.Their only rule is do not take your drinks out onto the dance floor
I haven't really looked into it. But I have seen people practicing, I don't know if they're paying them- they also don't advertise that as a service
$5 after 7pm.
Yes. You will have to look up the number online.
Minors are welcome until 7:00 pm. After 7:00 pm you must be at least 21.
Music is played all day with a big open dance floor. Around 8pm is when the formal dancing begins.
One of two country bars left in the area now that Dukes is gone. Large dance floor. Prices are ok but if your going on one of the main nights they charge a cover.
I moved here from Tempe Arizona. They moved in and took what used to be very peaceful farm and ranch communitys and turned everything into crime riden big cities. I came here because I couldn't find any beautiful lady to possibly share a normal life with. The people I came with were trying to help me meet better people. I didn't know I really had to be a good dancer to be accepted. Good food and drink, but not a place to meet someone if you not perfect. I haven't been back to Bushwhackers since 1998. I was raised in Mesa when it was a dot on the map. I'm still alone. I live up in the mountains far away from everything where it's peaceful. The next time you meet a 7 foot tall person, you can hopefully understand that we're human too. I guess they failed to drive the country out of the man DIDN'T THEY!👊👹
Great service, great music and fun dancing.
During our business trip to tualatin , we was 2 time in this bar , all was right .. today us 4 decide to go there last time , but security after see our Swiss and Italian ID , do not let us to enter , and very brutal ask us to go to hotel and bring passaport.... Fist time in 25 years of word wide travel 🏆
We sat at the bar for 30 minutes waiting for another drink. None of the bartenders made eye contact and just kept rushing by us. We even tried asking for drinks as they walked by without success. I am a very patient person and understand when a place is busy and it takes longer to get a drink. There is no excuse for flat out ignoring customers and refusing to acknowledge their existence.
I'd say great place to go line dancing but it's really the only place in the Portland metro area. So it wins by default.
Not a bad bar. Plays a lot of country music but later in the night it becomes a Mish mash. Big dance floor lots of dancing lessons. Good bartenders. Can be hard to get service at times but only due to how busy it consistently is.
Messed our tab up and took 30 miniutes to serve us even though they where free
Very young crowd, country dance music.
This place is tons of fun. Arrived at the end of happy hour, stayed until 1am. Drinks were priced well. Food was OK. Didn't blow my mind or anything. Decent portions. The service was mediocre at best. Ordered water 4 times from the server. Never got any. Finally went up to the bar and was told it was serve yourself. Wish I had been told that when I initially placed my order for the water. Wasn't a big deal at all to get it myself. I'll go back for the fun and the drinks. I'll have dinner before arriving.
Lively and fun place. Not to loud.
So much fun!! Huge dance floor!!
Super fun but the the regulars do only one line dance to every song. It makes it feel like a cult lol... Other than that a really cool place. Ladies go Thursday for free cover and cheaper drinks!
I enjoyed the free dance lesson. I also like how there is a variety of ages there, young and old all seemed welcome.
This place is great! I am a reserved person who would not normally dance in public but the lessons at 7:00 pm and the alcohol convinced me to try and it was great. Everyone was very nice and welcoming and if you don't have a partner just find someone who knows what they are doing and ask them to teach you/dance with you. Highly recommend it. The door man and bouncers were a little cold but other than that it was fantastic.
Excellent vibe, huge dance floor and regulars that dance there, they have dance lessons every week, square dancing and Texas two-step ect.
Well run and good instructor for the dance lessons. Parking is AWFUL! The dance floor is so full of line dancers we couldn't really move very well. If you want to line dance though, you will love it.
My wife and I moved here about a month ago. We heard about Bushwackers from some people so we decided to check it out. We where there about an hour and a half and was only able to dance three times. It seemed that everyone had to dance the same dance steps. That's when of course you wasn't dancing a line dance to almost every other song. It almost seemed that all dances were choreographed. It didn't matter what person you danced with you all danced the same steps. We was not impressed with this. I'm 50 years old and to bance here I would half to forget everything I've learned and learn something completely different.
Sat and waited for service too long with no success so ended up walking out. Employee behind bar wasn’t wearing a mask. I personally think masks are ridiculous, but come on.... if there’s someone at the door asking people to wear masks then at least the employees can do the same.
Bushwackers was my dancing home for the summer! And is still my favorite country western dance bar that I’ve ever been to. There’s a great environment and the regulars are super sweet. Thursday nights get busy because of Ladies night, ladies get in for free, but it’s still lots of fun. I go here to dance, there are lots of experienced and beginning dancers, lots of west coast swing as well as country dancing. Bobby the DJ is awesome and takes requests! Friday nights are usually a little less busy, but Thursday and Saturday nights are great! I love that they do free dance lessons! Decently priced drinks, a little more expensive than in a college town but affordable. Love coming here and look forward to dancing here whenever I can
Great free dance lessons. Good service and drinks. Nice big dance floor too!
Cool place....we are thinking about learning country line dancing because of this place! Angela was are server and she was awesome!
Great country bar and restaurant. Fish tacos were delish.
Enjoy the Wednesday night classes. Dancers are fun, friendly and fabulous!
My favorite place to be on Thursdays! Bobby is also the best DJ of all time
Fun place to meet friends and dance. Free dance lessons. Decent food. Service is a little iffy at times. Overall we have a good time and keep coming back.
Fun atmosphere, but it seemed like too many people were trying too hard to be "country". And some of the people came off as snobbish and just wear the country clothing without understanding what it is to be a real country person. I lived in Texas for 20 years, we can tell who are the natural country and those that try too hard... there were some "natural", but too many "try hards" that kinda ruined my night.
Fun place great atmosphere completely ruined by staff. 11-9-19. Lived a few blocks from the bar for 2 years. Always had a good time until that night. Bouncer was ridiculous. Had finished my drink 10 min before and we were minding our own business. Just talking about headind out and bouncer came and told us we were cut off and if we had a problem he would throw us out? Like I said, regular at the bar for almost 2 years. Never had a problem. Seriously love the place. Favorite bar in the area. Bouncer needs to be fired.
Good environment, definitely decent prices, good music, pool table, and line dancing like every night! Don't know how to dance? No worries, before the hustle and bustle of the nightlife, they offer class. Definitely a good chill spot.
It's average at best and the local Sheriff likes to nail people outside the venue
Super exciting place with awesome line dancing and country music!
Our first visit here and we were thoroughly happy with our experience. The people were friendly, food was pretty decent. Cover charge was a surprise but I'm sure that's how the entertainment gets paid. Wasn't overly loud either. We will back!!
Nice country bar in tualatin, I haven't eaten here yet but the drinks are reasonably priced and the service has been great both times my wife and I have stopped by for an after work beer.
Awesome place to have a few beers & dance. I love how the place is decorated & it spacious.
the supervisor who was running the place last night highly unprofessional very rude and does not belong in customer service somebody needs to demote her or fire her, whatever happens or wherever she goes in life she needs a job where she is not involved with or around other people. 1:00 a.m. 10/12/19 not the kind of person who belongs in any kind of power of supervision or management somebody needs to go back to school and learn how to play nice with others.
The DJ's set list was just bizarre for lack of a better word. The place almost totally cleared out by 10pm on a Friday. This place use to be like standing room only and you would have to park in neighboring buisness parking lots. But the people were nice and welcoming of beginners.
Awesome place to dance and have a good time with friends !
Good food. Fun to learn line dancung but so many people made it hard to see instructor. Ladies night is a good deal!
Met my husband here. It's an amazing place with great people.
I love this place! Never been here when it's busy, but great food, good cold beer and cider and lotto for dessert!
Went here on a Wednesday night. It was very fun. They over dance lessons at 7 and beers on the tap are only $5. Got the pulled pork sliders off the happy hour menu. Amazing! Great food for the happy hour price of only $7. Would recommend
The service was friendly but took almost 10-15min every time anything needed to be ordered. Waaaaaaay to long to be enjoyable. Staff walked right by us at the bar numerous times before asking if we needed anything. Fun place just beyond slow servic .
Food great. But it is clearly an upper end young country bar and dancing place. Nice people all around.
This place is a lot of fun! There is a lot of good dancing and a huge patio outside .
It's too crowded here. Overwhelming. It takes forever to get a drink and heaven forbid if you order food. They will not bring it out to you you actually have to wait somewhere around the bar to get your food. And the drinks suck and they're weak and overpriced. And I honestly don't think that the emergency exits are lit up very well. I do like the country vibe to it and how they do square dancing in the middle. I just don't like how many damn people go there. Not a place where you can have a nice conversation with a stranger. You'll never get to know anybody in this place
Great people, great music, fun dancing, affordable food and beer.
Best country line/swing dancing in the area! Love this place and everyone that keeps it running.
Absolutely amazing food. If youre looking for a great place to grab lunch, this is it. The burgers are fantastic.
Good place to and hang out after work and grab a drink and just to chill with friends
Good if you like country music! Go early to learn line dancing, because you will be judged if you don't know!Young people typically go Thursdays
